The Fountain behind which is the Fountain tapas bar.
The village is situated between two national parks.  The largest cork wood in southern Spain is nearby and the cork harvest can be seen near the village.
The bullring was originally built in 1894 and restored in 1921 and is still in use today for occasional bull fights.  It also houses the music school.
The Town Hall in Cortes dates back to 1784 and is built in neo-classical style

The beaches of the Costa del Sol are a 45 minute drive away.
Ronda has stunning views and a bullring housing an interesting museum.
If you wish to leave the car behind Ronda can be reached by train.
This trip is regarded as one of europe's prettiest rail journeys.
Gibraltar can easily be reached by car and is well worth the effort.
