Travel Directions
The house is an hour and a half by car from both Jerez airport (Ryanair) and Gibraltar airport (Monarch and British Airways. It is a two hour drive from Málaga airport (Monarch, Easyjet, British Airways, XLcom and others). The drive from Jerez is far more interesting. Please note the times given are typical of someone who knows the way and it may take a little longer on the first trip.
If using public transport to Cortes de la Frontera the easiest airport to arrive at is Gibraltar. Walk out of the airport and cross the border ( a hundred metres or so). Use a taxi to go to San Roque/La Linea station ( about 15 minutes) and catch a train to Estación de Cortes de la Frontera (50 minutes) where it is possible to arrange a taxi for the last 4.5 km. Please note only four trains a day operate to Estación de Cortes de la Frontera.
From Jerez
From the airport car park follow the road out of the airport over the small roundabout and follow the signs to Cadiz on the A4. Join the motorway and take the exit to the A382 Arcos de la Frontera follow this carefully until you are on the A382 to Arcos, continue on the new motorway around Arcos (do not go into the town). After a long curve downhill there is an exit at the km29 follow this road towards the town of Arcos. Turn left onto the A 372 for El Bosque and Ubrique.
Just before El Bosque (km28) turn right onto the A 373 for Ubrique. At Ubrique go through the middle of the town (at the Cajmar Bank turn right for Jimena and Algeciras) and continue out of Ubrique until you see signs for Cortes de la Frontera where you will start to climb the mountains. Turn left at the T junction on top of the ridge onto the A373 to Cortes de la Frontera. The exact location of the house will be given to you when you complete your booking.

Cross the border to La Linea in Spain. Once you have your hire vehicle take the N351 towards the coast road N340/A7. When the N340 is reached go south towards Algerciras for a few kilometres. At exit km115 take the A405 towards Jimena de la Frontera and Ronda. Stay on this road past Jimena and Gaucin. Approximately 7 kilometres past Gaucin turn left on the A373 towards Cortes de la Frontera. Travel downhill through Estación de Cortes and up the other side carry on this road until you reach Cortes de la Frontera. The exact location of the house will be given to you when you complete your booking.

Take the motorway A7-E15 South towards Algerciras. Pass Marbella and take the A376 to Ronda. At Ronda take the bypass and follow signs for Sevilla. Just past Ronda take a left turn, signposted Cortes de la Frontera. After Benaojan take another left turn also signposted Cortes de la Frontera. Keep going on this road until you reach Cortes de la Frontera. The exact location of the house will be given to you when you complete your booking.

Turning left will take you to a roundabout and you must turn right at the roundabout and drive along this wide road until you come another large roundabout where currently some major construction is taking place on the right next to the sports stadium. You have to turn left and once turned the Mediterranean sea will be on your right. Travel along this road until it turns inland there will be a couple of roundabouts and then you will turn right at the third onto the A383 signed to malaga. (There is petrol station across the road on the right. so it will be obvoius where you have to turn). This road takes you through an industrial area on to the new motorway.
At the end of the A383 motorway join the A7/E15 toward Malaga. Continue along this motorway until it becomes the AP7/E15 Peage which a Toll road it will cost around 1 euro 35 cents and its well worth it. Exit at the A377 Manilva, Casares, Gaucin turning. This is the junction marked 142km on the pay section. If you miss it you will pay for the error so be careful.
After the pay booth is a roundabout turn left up the hill to Casares, This road will take you to Gaucin.(about 24 Km away) at the end of the road in Gaucin turn left travel about 150 yards and turn right onto the main road the A389 to Ronda. Approximately 9 kilometres past Gaucin turn left on the A373 towards Cortes de la Frontera. Travel downhill through Estación de Cortes over the railway and up the other side carry on this road until you reach Cortes de la Frontera. This road is narrow don't rush. Then use your local instructions

After collecting your car from Focona car park. When you come up the slope from the Car hire underground car park a road merges with you from the right behind you. Please go to forward about 20 metres and you will come to a local road if you turn right this will take towards Gibraltar and onto the instructions above. If you turn left you should follow the instructions below.
